The Designed by Collection
The Licensed Editions: Digital Assets for Physical Fabrication
A Catalyst for Collaboration
The Licensed Editions bridge the gap between digital precision and physical craft. Each acquisition provides the high-resolution 3d model and the legal right to produce one (1) physical sculpture based on an original design by Jack Eagan. Limited Edition of just 10 licenses per category of sculpture, each licence is issued with a unique identification number which is held on a repository for authentication reference.
This collection is a departure from the static nature of traditional sculpture. It provides the digital DNA, the geometry and invites anyone to reinterpret the material, scale, and finish.
License Tiers
Choose the license that corresponds to your intended physical output:
Standard Production License (£300): Authorized for physical works up to 1 metre in height/length.
Architectural Scale License (£1,000): Authorized for physical works 1 metre and above.
Provenance & The Artist’s Mark
In the tradition of historic studio editions (such as the Picasso Madura ceramics), each digital file is individually prepared.
The 3D Signature: A relief of Jack Eagan’s signature is integrated directly into the digital geometry.
The Edition Number: Your specific edition number (e.g., 03/10) is embossed into the model, ensuring the resulting work bears a permanent mark of authenticity.
The Digital Registry: Each license includes a unique Reference Number recorded in a private registry to verify manufacturing rights.
Technical Specifications
Files: High-density STL and OBJ formats.
Methods: Optimized for 5-axis CNC milling (stone, wood, composite), 3D printing/sintering, and metal or glass casting.
Limited Edition: Strictly limited to 10 licenses. Once the tenth license is issued, the digital master is retired.
Jack Eagan is not involved in the manufacturing or fabrication and does not provide technical production assistance. The process remains an authorized collaboration between the design and your chosen craftspeople.
Physical works are officially attributed as: Designed by Jack Eagan.
