The Holkham Drift Collection

A new collection of tactile bronze door handles and drawer pulls, born directly from the shifting textures of the North Norfolk coastline. Walking these beaches daily, I am drawn to the ever changing shoreline, twisted driftwood hollowed by salt water, ancient timber bleached by the sun and fractured shells ground down and polished smooth by the relentless movement of sand and sea.

Translating these textures and forms directly into solid bronze in my studio and foundry, each piece in the Holkham Drift Collection is a unique, one of a kind sculpture, formed, cast and finished entirely by my own hands. Rather than working from reproduction moulds, every handle and pull is an individual 1/1 creation sold exactly as illustrated, bringing the weight and quiet permanence of the coast into daily touch.

Central to my studio philosophy is the belief that bronze, like the shoreline, should never remain static. Left intentionally unlacquered, each piece features a living surface that continues its evolution in your home. Just as the sea and grinding sand polish the high ridges of coastal driftwood, the natural oils and friction of your hand will gradually burnish the raised facets of the bronze to a warm, golden lustre, while the deeper, eroded fissures hold their dark, oxidised depth.

Individually cast and hand-worked as a 1/1 studio original. Hand-engraved on the reverse with the artist's mark and unique archive reference (e.g., E HOL354 // PU 1/1) and accompanied by a signed studio certificate of provenance.

1/1 Studio Creations - Individually sculpted, cast and patinated by hand, never repeated and sold strictly as illustrated.
