My journey as a sculptor has been one of continuous evolution, driven by a lifelong fascination with form, texture and the unspoken language of art. This passion led me to study ceramics and fine art sculpture, where I developed a deep understanding of materials and techniques. I later moved into education, teaching and mentoring students across a wide range of ages and abilities for over 20 years, an experience that shaped my appreciation for the transformative power of art.

I established a commercial fine art foundry, a venture that became a cornerstone of my career. At the foundry, I provided services to artists while honing my skills in bronze casting and fabrication. Collaborating on numerous large scale public and private commissions allowed me to master the technical and practical aspects of creating enduring sculptures. This period was marked by intricate problem solving, collaboration with architects and engineers and the challenge of bringing ambitious projects to life.

Throughout my professional journey, I have sustained a deeply personal artistic practice that spans over 35 years. My studio has always been a sanctuary for experimentation and reflection, where I have developed work that remained unseen and unexhibited until recently. Drawing inspiration from my environment, my work reflects my personal exploration of the intersection between nature, emotion and form.

My sculptures explore themes of imperfection, transition and emotional resonance. Often inspired by natural forms and the visceral experiences of isolated environments, such as the rugged East Coast beaches of the UK where I live, I strive to capture the beauty found in transitions - between states, environments or emotions. The torn, weathered edges of my work reflect a fascination with the passage of time and the layers of meaning that emerge in states of flux.

Through commissions and personal projects, my sculptures have found homes across the globe, connecting with people through the universal language of form and emotion. My goal is to create sculptures that not only resonate visually but also evoke a sense of connection and reflection, offering each viewer a space to find their own interpretations and meanings. I strive to create work that challenges perceptions, celebrates transitions and captures the intangible essence of our shared humanity.
